C0G (NP0) dielectric delivers near-zero temperature drift (<±30ppm/°C) with ultra-low dielectric loss, making it the ideal choice for precision RF matching, oscillator/resonator circuits, and high-frequency filtering. The 0603 (1608 metric) is the most widely used mid-size SMD footprint, balancing board space with reliable soldering and component availability for high-volume production across consumer, automotive, and industrial markets. Commonly used in Electrónica Automotriz, Equipos de Telecomunicaciones, Pruebas y Medición. Typical end-products include Radar/Cámara ADAS, Gestión Batería BMS, Cargador a Bordo OBC.

"Automotive-grade MLCCs require AEC-Q200 qualification with full traceability. Commercial-grade components cannot be substituted for automotive parts — doing so risks field failures in ADAS radar/camera modules, BMS battery management, OBC on-board chargers, and EPS electric power steering under temperature cycling (−40°C to +125°C) and mechanical vibration."
C0G (NP0) is a Class 1 dielectric with ±30ppm/°C stability, zero DC bias effect, and DF under 0.1% — use it for resonant circuits, timing, and precision filters. X7R is a Class 2 dielectric with ±15% tolerance over -55°C to +125°C and moderate DC bias roll-off, ideal for decoupling, bypass, and general-purpose filtering. X5R offers higher capacitance density than X7R but only spans -55°C to +85°C. Y5V delivers the highest density but swings +22% to -82% across -30°C to +85°C and can lose 70-90% of its rated capacitance at operating voltage.
